    NursingHomeIQ Analysis

    Summary

The data profile for this facility reflects high performance in quality measures, lower-than-average staff turnover, and a total nursing staffing level that exceeds the Oregon state average.

    Detailed Analysis

Analysis of federal records shows this facility maintains a high overall quality profile relative to both state and chain averages. The data indicates a total nursing care level of 5.21 hours per resident per day, with registered nurse care accounting for 0.58 hours. While the registered nurse staffing is slightly below the Oregon average of 0.68 hours, the total staffing is supported by higher-than-average hours from licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants. Notably, the facility demonstrates stability in its workforce; the nursing staff turnover rate of 34.9% and registered nurse turnover of 33.3% are both substantially lower than the state averages of 49.1% and 53%, respectively. Furthermore, the use of contract or agency staff is minimal at 0.7%, which is a strong indicator of staff continuity.

The inspection history reflects a downward trend in health findings, decreasing from 8 to 6 in the most recent cycle. Recent findings include areas such as assistance with activities of daily living, medication labeling, and food storage protocols. Records show a 12.4% reduction in nursing care hours during weekends compared to weekdays, which is a common shift but serves as a data point for those monitoring consistency of care. The facility has recorded zero federal fines or payment denials over the last three years, and there has been no turnover in the administrator position, suggesting administrative stability. Financial and demographic data for the surrounding area show a median income and property values significantly higher than regional medians, which may influence the facility's resource environment.

    Key Findings

The facility provides 5.21 hours of total nursing care per resident per day, which is higher than the Oregon state average of 4.95 hours.

Nursing staff turnover is 34.9%, significantly lower than the state average of 49.1%, indicating a more stable workforce across the care team.

The most recent health inspection identified 6 findings, an improvement from the 8 findings recorded in the previous cycle.

    Performance Trends (24 months)

This shows how the facility's federal ratings have changed over the past 24 months. Consistent high ratings suggest stable quality, while declining trends may warrant further investigation.

"My best friend is a resident at the Regency Gresham facility. Unfortunately my bestie suffered a stroke that left him unable to care for himself. His sister provided me with contact information for him and I called with various questions and personal requests to personally speak with him, unbelievably the kind and helpful staff there actually let me speak with him even though he is unable to speak. After I related to my dear friend all of my love the staff conveyed in real time his reaction to my call. It was very personal and heart felt . If the staff cares for their patients the same way that they have assisted me, my hat is off, they should all stand and take a bow ! Thanks to you all."

"A few good nurses and cna's! Unfortunately they have their hands tied due to poor administration who lack the heart to care for people, instead they look out for a corporate interest and investments instead of the good of the people. This is not the only rehab to practice this method and oh by the way the hospitals practice the same method also, I cannot believe that we as a society allows this to happen to our elderly and handicapped people we should be ashamed of ourselves for allowing this to happen."

"Austyn is a horrible staff member, she does not prioritize residents by staffing the building. Makes impulsive decisions that lead to not having proper staff for residents safety. I would think twice about sending any family member her as they are not putting your family first but their own personal feelings"

"The staff at the Regency Gresham is absolutely outstanding! Very warm, kind, professional, and patient with any questions we had. When it came time to get discharge set up, the administrators were extremely helpful in navigating all the myriad details. We would like to name folks specifically, but since there would certainly be some left out, we'll just say each and every person we encountered was absolutely the best, and we are very thankful."

"Wonderful care. My 75 year old mother fell and did alot of damage to herself. We were coming to terms with the fact that she may never come home from the hospital. We moved her to Regency Gresham and the care she received was from Jesus working through the staff my mom is able to come home. There is always going to be little issues to work out but we never had a problem getting them addressed. The administration was Johnny on the spot. If mom or myself ever needs this kind of care again, we will be looking to Regency Gresham."

"Regency cared for my mother for 8 weeks. She had fallen and had surgery on her femur which required her to be non weight bearing for 2 months. The staff at Regency took amazing care of Mom including the best physical therapy specialists she could have had. They were kind, patient, and understanding while encouraging my Mom to work as well as she could to improve strength in her arms and the uninjured leg. The nursing staff was so very caring. Her daily needs were always met with smiles and kind words. The management staff were helpful in all aspects of Mom's care. They answered my many questions and were always so kind. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing rehab or long term care. Thank you Regency Gresham for helping my mother return home."

"The most important thing to know about this facility is the nurses, CNA's, and other staff are top notch. They truly love and care about the residents and to me, this is the most important thing about a facility like this. The couple of things they could do better: The food leaves a lot to be desired. The facility is also very loud, staff yelling down the hall to one another, often regarding personal patient information. Doordash and ear plugs came in real handy! Even with the few negatives (no place will be perfect) I would recommend this place in a heartbeat, especially for the level of care I received. Also, the PT and OT staff are absolutely wonderful and hard working folks, they helped me more than words can say. I'm honestly so grateful for the wonderful care I got at Regency and the staff will always hold a special place in my heart. You or your family member will be loved and taken care of there."

"I placed my 95 year old mom there to recover from gallbladder surgery and chose them again a few months later when she fell and broke her hip. I dropped in all the time and she was well taken care of and the staff was very friendly to her. Taura was especially helpful and kind. Thank you for making my mom’s recovery easier."

"My 95- year old Mother had about 4-6 weeks re-hab at this facility back in April of this year. She enjoyed it here, only complaint was her food was cool-COLD most of the time, we mentioned it and we were told because she was at end of the hall that this being the reason why, unfortunately she would receive warmer food and than back to the cold food soon after. She did good at this facility and we are hoping she will return there this week. When she was discharged back in April she continued with in-home therapy. In our location there really isn't any 4-5 * rehab facilities so we have what we have. She had another fall last week which will put her back into therapy and hopefully into this facility. She wants to walk and get stronger, this is really the mindset one hopes for coming from the patient We live within 5- minutes so I'm able to be there more often. Doesn't hurt me to do some therapy, I've been there done that more than once. So .... Please before writing negative feedback think about what you want to write down and perhaps your story will be a positive one. PAY close attention and if you see something that needs to be addressed than be sure to address it at that time. These folks that work there showed me they were attentive and they are busy. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO YOUR LOVED ONE, be there as much as possible - get involved in their therapy., and say something if your questioning anything - we are not perfect and while some of you may not like what I'm saying it's my story and it's the way I feel and it's true. I feel my mother's stay here was a success. Work with your loved one DAILY be active in their therapy and wishing all of us a successful rehabilitation. Thank you Regency for all you do. GOOD DAY !!!!!"
