Leaving 5 stars for the new wide bore MRI machine. It’s a bit loud, but they all are. I have claustrophobia but handled this easily. Julie broke it up in short timed segments and explained what was coming. She’s an excellent MRI tech. Don’t put it off if you need one done!

My wife needed rehab during the time Hurricane Milton hit us and we are fortunate she was able to be at Lexington. It was comforting to know she was safe with O2 even during a power outage and nurses were available 24/7 during the entire experience. I went by at least once a day until she was able to come home and I was pleased with the positive healing vibes that were evident during my wife's stay. This was an intense period and everybody could still smile. My wife was comfortable and felt very secure. My impression was there are some great leaders at this place as all of the employees I ran into appeared to be focused on the residents' well-being. Nice job, Lexington!

We were told our loved one saw a doctor. She complained as did we for a week about an ear infection. No one has called us once to tell us if she actually saw the doctor. We live out of state and their main number has been busy or with a disconnected message for 5 days. Someone local has gone down there and told them multiple times. They even used a cell phone to verify they were down in front of her on Thursday. Our loved one can barely here us on the phone and we have no way of knowing if she is OK or not.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Absolutely horrible. My loved one was there recently and he contracted rashes and sores due to neglect. We had to practically force the employees to do the bare minimum (shower, change his clothes, walk him around). The place was filthier than the hospital and staff were hard to find. Everyone was clearly under cared for. It was difficult to get him out of the facility due to the employees’ lack of communication and effort. It took them days to get my loved one his medications which caused him more problems! I wouldn’t wish this place upon my worst enemy. If you care about the well being of your loved ones DO NOT take them here!

LAKE BENNET CENTER FOR REHABILITATION & HEALING

I put my mom in Lake Bennett Rehab after she became so weak with a stay in the hospital with pneumonia. I had a client several years ago I took care of for 8 years in Lake Bennet. I chose it because of the excellent Rehab team. She progressed really well. But 2 days before she was to come back to our home, where she'd been for a year. I realized she would have better care, socialize with others. Plus, they have access to nurses and doctors. She has meals with others, talking and laughing, gets her nails painted. Lake Bennet has a wonderful staff, the CNA 's are so sweet to my mom. All the staff is very helpful. When she lived with us it was bed to chair and visits to the hospital. I know I made the right decision for mom's quality of life. Thank you to the staff at Lake Bennet

My sisters and I could not recommend Morning View more highly. Our beloved father received care there, first for physical therapy and then for hospice in the last week of his life. The care was truly extraordinary. Every person we encountered was knowledgeable and clearly dedicated to patient care. They were equally attentive to us in a time of deep grief, checking in on us regularly to bring water or whatever we needed. We had heard good things from many people when we asked for recommendations on local facilities and have shared our experience with everyone. It was a difficult, stressful and challenging time for Dad and for us, but the Morning View team was the silver lining we had not expected. We were so grateful for their support and would give 10 stars if they were available. Thank you Morning View, we so appreciate all of you!

They deserve a "0". I am the legal care provider for a 92 year-old woman who was placed at this facility by her doctor. He never visited. STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE ABLE. The nurse who was taking care of her, spit in her face. I reported the incident to her doctor and he put it down to hallucinations, which wasn't. He finally looked into the matter and it was documented with no repercussions to the nurse. This is only one of the incidents this poor woman suffered. RATED WORST NURSING HOME IN FLORIDA. My long term boyfriend, Wayne Enderwick, was cared for there until his passing. He had a way of getting the nurses and staff to let him get away with anything! He called them "his friends." It gives me comfort to hear that several minutes before he passed in his sleep, the nurses said he was out joking and laughing with them. Typical Wayne. Thank you so much to all of his "friends."

My grandmother has been in RE for over 2 months the experience has not been the best . Trouble with meals , sometimes unpleasant staff and the worst of it a bad case of bed sores from her not properly being moved around. The best part has been the two women Lissette and Claudia who are the shining stars of the place . Lissette has gone out of her way with her smile and sweet , friendly way .

CHARLOTTE BAY REHAB AND CARE CENTER

BEWARE PEOPLE - THIS PLACE IS DOCUMENTING REHABILITATION THAT THEY ARE NOT DOING, AND THEY ARE BILLING INSURANCE COMPANIES AND THE VA. A COMPLAINT HAS BEEN FILED WITH THE STATE. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN - IT'S DIRTIER THAN THE PORT CHARLOTTE ANIMAL SHELTER. Had a family brought to this facility for rehab within the last two weeks. The facility was suppose to provide physical therapy to get family member up, dressed and walking 5 days a week for 30 days. They left family member in a bed for 7 of the 10 days. Family member received only 1 day of therapy outside of room. Family member is on oxygen. One day they brought family member to bathroom without oxygen, left family member on toilet with no one around, family member fell off toilet for lack of oxygen. I had meeting with the head of the facility, head of department, and 3 other employees. They lied about the services they gave to family member. They were called out on it and they ended the meeting quick! Family member moved!

    THE METHODIST HOSPITAL SNF

This review is written from the visitor point of view; I was not a patient. Pros: This hospital has elegant decor, nice attending staff to help you navigate through the massive space, a well tended gift shop with lots of items, a full cafeteria with almost anything you might want to eat, a gorgeous doll house display, and even a pretty courtyard along side of a interior gathering area complete with a piano player. The entrance is on the monorail system with a stop right near the doors. All these things are nice, but wait, there’s more. Cons: The location is very far from my home area of the Memorial District. The med center is right by Rice University, which is both a very uppity area but also a very transient area. Valet parking is almost always full leading you to wind your way through the 10 level also completely full parking garage. We parked on level 10, but due to where the elevator is located, we had to walk to level 9. The stairs we passed smelled of urine. When we exited the elevator, the smell of trash was overwhelming. When we crossed the small street to get to the entrance, the smokers outside were less than concerned about us inhaling their smoke. Once inside, the massive space is hard to navigate. I’ve heard multiple people rave about Methodist Hospitals and their level of care. Many people I know, prefer them over Memorial Hermann. My dad was in for back surgery. His room was originally the ICU wing, so it was quite large. His nurse was very nice and personable. I liked the presentation of the hospital, but I can’t imagine going down there and having to fight traffic, plus dealing with the parking, if it was personally my choice. I didn’t feel it was fair to give three stars since most of what I am reviewing is not based on a patient’s point of view. The extra star given was due to my dad’s satisfaction with his experience.

    ALHAMBRA HEALTHCARE & REHABILITATION CENTER

From the beginnining of my mothers arrival up until the end of her days everyone at Alhambra was such a positive experience from top to bottom. Alhambra was my mothers 2nd consecutive time being placed in a nursing home, the 1st nursing home was such a nightmare experience. Living in New York emotionally, physically, and mentally made it that much harder to put my trust into yet another facility hoping for the proper care for my mother. Being that the facility was small and intimate, they were able to treat my mom like family.Hands down everyone there deserves the recognition. Starting with the Aides, there wasn't a time where I wasn't happy with the upkeep of my mother's cleanliness and for that I would like the Aides to know it did not go unnoticed. My mom was fortunate to have the nursing staff that she did. I especially want to thank Dee and Sabrina .They both cared for my mom in addition to continuously putting my mind at ease for any questions or concerns that I had. I thank them for their compassionate and care. Joanne in Aministration was awesome to me. There was never a time when she wasn't on point with anything I needed. Instead of me being overwhelmed she simplified things for me with such Grace. She was always such a pleasure to talk to and I have to say , now that my mom has passed on, I will miss speaking to her. ....and then there's Sidney, the director,....what can I say other than Koudos to her ! She was always there for me with ANY questions or concerns that I had , and trust me, I had many lol...I want to thank her for her patience with me, and most of all, thank you for your hand in caring for my mother. God Bless you and the entire staff at Alhambra.

This is a very nice facility. It is very clean and provides a warm homelike feeling for the residents. The administrative staff is very kind and supportive and responsive to all of our requests. The nursing staff is very kind and take an interest in our loved one, even coming by to say hello when they are working on another area of the facility. They do a good job of keeping clothes changed and baths given as well as helping with eating, going to the bathroom, and giving medicine. The rehab folks are diligent as well, working to help us get our loved one back to as normal as possible. Overall we've had a really good experience here.

I found friendliness abound from every staff member I had either clinical or casual interaction. If clinical , the staff member was attentive to my concerns and questions. They also were knowledgeable and concerned that I felt complete after we talked. If casual , the interaction was beyond cordial. I felt we had known each other like an old friend. Sincerity and interest in our meeting was paramount. First impression was very good for me when trying to get things clear for my aunt and the staff . I am the nephew of Margaret Muller. My mother-in-law was treated awful. She never took pain medicine, that she's been prescribed for years, and they not only gave it to her but doubled the dosage. She went there for rehab and they basically wrote her off. My husband had her transferred to a hospital because we thought she might have had a stroke and she arrived with over 24hrs worth of urine in her briefs. In my opinion their treatment of elderly people is disgusting. I would love to add that St.John Neumann literally brought my mother-in-law back to life after this horrific place treated her less than human. She came home today and is doing amazing.

My mother is in there now. About to pull her out. Food is not good Her medications weren't being given to her correctly and tech would come in at 3:30 - in the morning and wake her up to draw blood and not tell her why. This evening (Saturday) she went to the front lobby to sit while her semi pvt patient roommate had personal care and got up from the chair covered in bedbugs. Staff had to help her pick them off her clothes and get her to a shower. Patients in other rooms can be heard screaming "help me" all night long!!

    NHC HEALTHCARE, BRISTOL

My mother has been at NHC Bristol for four months. From mom's first day of arrival, the care received has been above and beyond what I have experienced both as a daughter of an aging parent and a Geriatric Care Manager in healthcare and geriatrics. Upon mom's arrival, I met with the management team to discuss her care plan and my concerns as I live out of state. Immediately I was impressed with the number of staff that met with me and, most importantly, listened as I provided information crucial to her care, particularly her medical and mental health. As my mother has several complex chronic diagnoses, the quality of medical care and the way it is delivered is first and foremost to her family. Through moms' good days and bad days, the staff, including the Administrator, Director of Nursing, physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, CNAs', dietary, therapy, laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance, have been accessible, invaluable, professional, and personable. Activities have played an essential aspect of socialization for mom as she is social but often needs to be encouraged to attend events. As a result, mom participates in more activities longer, primarily due to the activity department's patience and gentle persistence. In addition, the administrative staff has been essential in assisting me with obtaining insurance that best meets mom's needs as a resident and if she returns to the community. The team has always been accessible to me, day or night, for any and every concern or question I have. There has not been one time that I have called and not received a return call. For anyone who has experienced the anxiety and stress of caring for an aging parent, knowing that your parent is in a safe place is essential. A family needs to know that their loved one resides in a facility where quality care abounds, concerns are addressed, dignity is respected, and questions get answered. NHC Bristol excels in every area. I know that at NHC Bristol, mom is safe and taken care of, and with the progression of her illnesses, you are taking care of her better than we could do. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do, and most importantly, thank you for providing my family and me the peace of mind that mom is in great hands!!!

This facility is terrible ! It’s not only the staff. The administrators are the worst ! They are not professional and do not look out for the patient’s best interest. If you ask three different people the same question you will get three different answers. Thats IF you can even find someone in authority to talk to. Patients are left alone for extended periods of time even when they ask for help. My parent was staying there and was left covered with sheets and blankets that had urine and feces on them. My parent also had terrible bedsores from being left laying flat for several weeks and not being turned to the side. There is too many reasons to list without writing a book. Beware !!!!

TRANSITIONAL CARE UNIT AT NAZARETH HOSPITAL

The worst hospital I’ve had the misfortune to be at. Over the years, my great-grandmother was taken here a few times. Every single time, I have encountered nothing but negligence, fake pleasantness, and a complete lack of sanitary practice. Attached is an image of a syringe and random debris just lying on the ground at the ER. Their idea of sanitation is briefly washing the floors with a chlorine solution. I’ve not seen anything besides that. For the pregnant and those with open wounds, this is a breeding ground for staph infections. In terms of the care by the nurses, I do not think I have had a single positive experience with the staff. The first time my great-grandmother was admitted, despite me reminding the staff numerous times that she is a diabetic, she was repeatedly fed Jello with a sugar content of over 30g per serving. Although she was placed on a “glucose scale”, her blood sugar level was in the 200’s, absurdly high for her. She wasn’t given her meds regularly either. Our family had to hound the staff, who always replied politely and with a smile, but without any substance about her condition or any understanding. The current treatment at the ER has been just appalling. After 14 hours in the ER, we have yet to hear about her condition from a proper doctor, and she has not eaten for nearly 17 hours. For a 91-year old with diabetes and hypertension, this is absurd. While it is important not to nag on staff, a request to regulate her abnormally high blood pressure with her prescribed meds should be answered within hours, not days. I have multiple explanations for the level of care received over the years, from understaffing, to ultimately the religious charter of the hospital (TAKE YOUR RELATIVES TO SECULAR HOSPITALS), but what’s important is that nothing has changed. The quality of care has always been an issue, and I see no change for the better.

    SHERRILL HOUSE

The physical plant of Sherrill House is very nice ; spacious, clean and well appointed with a lovely patio and well equipped therapy gym. There is ample visitor parking and it is conveniently located near the MBTA However, the pretty face ends here. The nurses appear to be very distacted with divided attention and/or talking to one another. They also need more training in newer techniques for diabetes. While in Rehab, they do not track their patient's intake & output which resulted in my loved becoming critically ill and needing hospitalization. The CNA's are clearly short staffed and unable to respond to patients needs in a timely fashion. While some of them are skilled and caring, there was a language barrier which contributed to and interfered with the quality of care. Enough cannot be said for the Social Worker who was clear, knowledgeable and compassionate and followed through with patients and their families. Also, thank you to the excellent therapy staff who worked really hard to encourage people to do their best and genuinely cared. Sherrill House has great potential to be a wonderful facility. With the proper staff training and the appropriate number of RN's and CNA's , it could get 5 stars.

While the nursing assistants and med-techs often work behind the scenes and deserve more recognition, their patience and individualized attention made me feel genuinely well-cared for during my stay. Overall, it was a positive experience where the floors were filled with kind people dedicated to getting me back on my feet."

"While the emotional journey of placing my parents in a facility has been difficult, we’ve found peace of mind seeing how the staff truly treats residents like family and goes the extra mile to support us as visitors. The transition between rehab and long-term care feels seamless because the nurses and therapists are so attentive, though it’s clear that the facility's recent administrative changes have been key in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and care we've experienced."

The rehab team worked wonders for our loved one’s recovery and communication, though it’s the small details, like the kitchen staff checking on meal preferences and the support for daily visitors, that really stand out. Overall Satisfaction

"While many of us feel safe and well-cared for thanks to the professional, kind-hearted staff who go above and beyond, my overall satisfaction often feels like it depends on which shift is on duty. For every positive experience with a welcoming environment and attentive medical care, there is the lingering worry caused by occasional cleanliness issues or staff members who seem dismissive and slow to respond to our needs. Ultimately, being here is a mix of gratitude for the dedicated caregivers and frustration when the quality of service doesn't meet the standard we deserve."
