    OCOEE TRANSITIONAL CARE CENTER LLC

We highly recommend MorningView Transitional Care Center when you are searching for a facility to care for a loved one. You walk in the front door and are greeted by Jama, who will put a smile on your face every time you see her. The facility is clean, nicely decorated, and does not smell of disinfectant or waste. We did not meet a single employee, from the custodial staff to the administrative staff, that did not seem to love their job. The nursing staff, physical and occupational therapy staff, and the custodial staff always spoke to our mother with kindness and respect, even when our mother was not completely responsive. The staff at MorningView Transitional Care not only takes care of the patient, but they also take care of the patient’s family members. We were so over our heads when we first contacted MorningView regarding our mother, and they held our hands the entire way. They provided thorough recommendations and guidance based on their assessments of our mother, and we appreciated their honesty and support. Our family is very grateful that these professionals were there to assist us during a very difficult time. In addition to Jama, we specifically want to thank Tiffany and Lindsee in admissions and Vanessa and Tiffany in social services. We don’t know what we would have done without MorningView Transitional Care and we always felt that the they were looking out for us.

My mother was there during the summer into Fall. We're they perfect? No, but the care she received was more than good. Social Services really worked with us to insure she could stay as long as needed. Therapy? More than excellent! In fact, most of the nursing, houseeping and dietary staff were, too. There were a few incidents of her left in the bathroom longer than needed, but they were far and few.

My experience at Orlando Health - Advanced Rehabilitation Institute was excellent. I dislocated my hip and was transferred to OHARI from the VA for rehab on June 15. From the nurses and technicians on the second floor (219) to PT and OT I felt safe, and experienced excellent healthcare. Although all clinical and PT/OT were excellent, there are several that stood out, that were exceptional, whom I would call my heroes. Dr. Mahal Carol - RN Case Manager Veronica - Nurse (evening) Nathalie - Nurse (day) Ashland - Nurse Analese - Student Nurse Taneisha - Tech Fabian - Tech Stevie L. - PT Brittany - PT E - PT Anya - OT Carmen - OT Addie - Food Service Iris - Food Service I am very blessed to have receive my rehab care from OHARI and I would highly recommend.

My mother who is 74 years old had major back surgery later January 2024. She was a patient at East Neck for about 30 days. This was her 2nd stay in a short term rehab, but the most significant. Taylor in Admissions made sure she was transferred from the hospital to EN with no issues. Dr. Balot was in frequently managing her medical issues and concerns as well as pain. Megan in social work communicated her plan of care to with me and coordinated a safe discharge. Also, the rehab department was amazing! She was up and walking in no time. My mother had no complaints and is extremely thankful for the staff at East Neck!!!

I would rate this place nothing but the rehab nurse that took care of my mom during the day was great. She always took time to talk to my mom about any concerns and was real loving and cheerful every time she came in the room. A real heart for the work. In my experience the nurse manager was lazy and just barked orders but never saw her working except once for a meeting we had and the director of nursing was either sitting in her office eating or no where to be found when needed. Some of the CNAs have real attitudes and they need to realize what kind of job their doing and why it’s important to have a good attitude. On the weekends it’s ghost town in there. Can’t get no help. The food is bad and my moms food/coffee was always cold. Mom was really well taken care of by the day shift nurse with the brown hair and glasses can’t remember her name but the facility as a whole needs some work.

My long term boyfriend, Wayne Enderwick, was cared for there until his passing. He had a way of getting the nurses and staff to let him get away with anything! He called them "his friends." The nurses are great - But when An Er Doctor sends you home with a Very high blood pressure - it’s crazy and when the CNY cardiology department does nothing to investigate the cause of Months of High Blood pressure averaging 180/110 - Then you know it’s not safe to go to those places . Since June I’ve had cardiac Symptoms- and since July have had several med Changes - And the very high blood pressure has made Last year - I had an allergic reaction to something- as they were rolling me out of the Er heading for the observation room up on a floor. They asked me in transit if I wanted to be resuscitated?!! I’m said why and the nurse s said well because there is only one doc in the ER . I said Yes Please id like a Jump start The Docs Act like they know everything but Don’t even Know How To “ PRACTICE “. Its embarrassing to have to need an eR and know LCGH is the closest one to get to . They have no compassion don’t have common sense to quickly evaluate. They don’t listen to everything you tell them and then after seeing a CNY Doc a few times - Not one Doctor has done what they should be doing . I’m speaking up bc No One has done Extensive testing to find the cause. And given I’ve had a carotid Brain Aneurysm with a stent and coils .... you’d think after weeks of throwing pills at me - changing them , Someone would be serious and Do their Job before I can’t represent myself anymore . No one should be this sick for this long without a doctor following thru to determine the cause . Good thing I’ve kept all my notes .

    SHERRILL HOUSE

It has taken me several months to write this review. My mom spent a little over a month here and was PHYSICALLY ABUSED by more than one staff person. The first time, the staff were responsive though it seemed the second time her roommate spoke up in tears about both events. Her roommate called the gentleman whose posters are all over the walls stating to call anytime and he hung up on her! When I called him later after learning of the second event he chuckled and hung up on me too. My mother is a stroke survivor. She’s verbal, vibrant paralyzed on the left side so she yelled, screamed and kicked as much as she could to get the CNA off her back and when she shared what happened after telling her therapist the staff assured us the CNA wouldn’t return. A week later her friend closed the door in retaliation and both my mom and her roommate screamed out. After calling the gentleman they rushed to her room and removed the CNA. My mom called me and I immediately called the social worker; my siblings were up there in minutes and an emergency meeting held without us and we were advised everything was confidential, etc and soon after (days) my mom was scheduled for discharge. This is our true story and being honest none of these places are great but this place is horrible and knowingly allows the residents to be abused. When I called the morning after the second event they put me on hold and never mentioned an altercation. Most are limited by insurance but the state has to do better. The stars do not reflect the truth rather terms of accreditation. The rehab is the worst and the staff are demons being paid to care for our vulnerable population.

"While I find that most of the drivers and EMTs are kind and make the journey to my appointments much easier, the administrative process of coordinating rides can sometimes be hit-or-miss. It is a huge blessing when the facility handles the logistics for my family, especially when staff members go out of their way to help me navigate services like Dial-a-Ride. Over time, I’ve learned that having a consistent, helpful person in the office makes all the difference in ensuring I actually get where I need to be."

From the very first day, this treatment center gave us something we desperately needed — hope. My daughter came in unable to even stand on her own. In just 3 weeks, because of their dedication, skill, and genuine care, she is walking with a walker. That progress didn’t happen by accident — it happened because of a team that truly goes above and beyond. Every therapist treated her like more than just a patient. They were patient, encouraging, and consistent. They pushed her when she needed it and celebrated every small victory right alongside us. During one of the hardest seasons of our lives, they became part of our support system. The knowledge, compassion, and commitment this team shows every single day changes lives. It changed ours. I will forever be grateful for the role they played in my daughter’s recovery. If you’re looking for a place that truly cares and produces real results, this is it.

"My experience in Florida facilities has been a mixed bag; while I’ve found some places where the therapy is exceptional and the staff treats you like family, others feel disorganized and dismissive during high-stress times like hurricane evacuations. I’ve learned that the quality of care really depends on the specific administration, as a dedicated team can make you feel safe and respected, but a lack of communication or empathy can leave you feeling abandoned."

On my opinion this is the worse place ever!!! I never saw anything like that, everything is bad about it. When you call to talk with your loved one room it is super hard to get connected, may take hours, if you need to talk with the nurse station, good luck, you can be waiting all day and never be able to talk with any nurse, when the patient calls for help from the room it can be more than an hour for somebody to come, I even had to bring my own batteries for the TV remote control, it is a joke. There was a misunderstanding about my husband’s diet, it is incredible, I can not be more unhappy with this place! One star is more than they deserve it, but can not write a review without at least one star. I will never recommend a place like this for your loved one. Horrible!!!

My father unfortunately is a resident of this nursing home. I am desperately looking for somewhere to move him. The quality of care (especially on weekends) is horrible. He requires scheduled breathing treatments and they are Never on schedule. Imagine literally gasping for breath and not being able to speak! This is a regular occurrence fr my father due to lack of care. They are difficult to get by phone again especially on weekends and are short and unresponsive when they do answer. They are getting paid to do a job and all I see them do is gather in the nurses lounge. If you walk and look in the rooms or hall for someone not a sole! But go to the lounge you’ll find 8-10 gathered there while patients suffer and do without care and medications. I fully intend to report my concerns to the state. My last visit I walked in pushed my fathers call button and NOT A SINGLE PERSON CAME IN! Over 30 minutes later I went looking! Guess where I found them~ THE LOUNGE! If you care for your loved one this is NOT the place to go for care. Be warned. They deserve zero stars!

"It’s been a relief to see our loved ones regain enough strength through therapy to finally head home, but the transition process itself often feels like a gamble. While some staff go above and beyond to prepare us, we’ve also faced frustrating communication gaps and felt like we were chasing down discharge coordinators just to get a clear plan or timeline."

"We’ve found that the rehabilitation and therapy teams in Florida are often exceptional, showing true compassion and helping our loved ones make impressive physical gains. However, the overall experience is a real mixed bag; we’ve struggled with inconsistent communication from management, unpleasant facility odors, and nursing staff that sometimes lack the attentiveness our family members deserve."

LEWIS COUNTY GENERAL HOSPITAL-NURSING HOME UNIT

Had a scheduled appointment with the dermatology department. Called a week before to get directions and instructions. I left a clear message, and call back number. My call was never returned. I called the morning of the appointment and left another message. This time I explained I needed to leave by a certain time and asked them again to please call me.Having never been to this office or hospital, I needed directions. I clearly told them this. No call back again. I had to leave by a certain time to travel from Herkimer County. We arrived at the hospital about 15 minutes before the appointment and it took us about 10 minutes to find a parking space. I have a disabled parking tag but there were no spots available and so I had to walk from the main lot. It took another 6 minutes to get into the building.and then it took about 8 minutes to find the dermatology office. So we arrived into the dermatology office 9 minutes after our appointment time. There was no one else waiting to be seen. The desk person told me that we would not be seen because we are late! We explained the situation but she said it is policy. While she said she is the one who called back messages she would not tell us why she failed to return our call each time. In addition she said she could not make a new appointment for us because the provider is leaving. I find this very unprofessional as well as uncaring and completely unfair.

While the nursing assistants and med-techs often work behind the scenes and deserve more recognition, their patience and individualized attention made me feel genuinely well-cared for during my stay. Overall, it was a positive experience where the floors were filled with kind people dedicated to getting me back on my feet."

"While I’ve experienced genuine warmth from many hardworking aides and "top-notch" therapy teams who make these facilities feel clean and welcoming, the quality of care can feel inconsistent. It is comforting to be met with compassion and friendly faces, but it is deeply unsettling to know that administrative oversights can still lead to lapses in critical medication management when we are at our most vulnerable."

    LEXINGTON HEALTHCARE AND REHABILITATION CENTER

Not sure what the kick backs were for these 5 star reviews. This place is a disgrace! From the CEO down to housekeeping, they do not care about your loved one. Complaints went in one ear and out of the other. Not just my loved one but her roommate as well. Several occasions medication was found in the hall and brought to the attention of several staff members. I started taking pictures of the neglect my mom was receiving, the filthy rooms and halls. I bought a mop and cleaned the room myself. Clean linens and clothes were only given when I asked or just went and got them myself. The food or lack there of, was not edible and usually had an odor that was not pleasant. Nurses and CNA’s unplug the call light on the night shift as to not bother their social time or cell phone usage. I have proof of that as well. The higher ups and especially the DON will look you right in your face and lie. Police reports were filed a few times. DCF got involved along with the States Attorneys Office. You don’t have to believe anything written but I would hate for another Elder to be neglected and abused like my mom was and disregarded like she meant nothing. This place needs to be closed down and shame on every person that works at Lexington.

    Overall Satisfaction

"While many of us feel safe and well-cared for thanks to the professional, kind-hearted staff who go above and beyond, my overall satisfaction often feels like it depends on which shift is on duty. For every positive experience with a welcoming environment and attentive medical care, there is the lingering worry caused by occasional cleanliness issues or staff members who seem dismissive and slow to respond to our needs. Ultimately, being here is a mix of gratitude for the dedicated caregivers and frustration when the quality of service doesn't meet the standard we deserve."
