    Privacy Policy

    Effective Date: April 1, 2026 · Last Updated: March 29, 2026

We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't share your information with the facilities you research. You came here because someone you love needs care. We're not going to complicate that. This policy tells you exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do — and don't do — with it.

    1. Who This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors and users of NursingHomeIQ.com (the "Service"), operated by IntermodeEd, LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. It covers information collected through the Service, including report purchases, search activity, and any communications you initiate with us.

    2. What We Collect

    Information you give us directly

When you purchase a report or create an account, we collect:

    • Your email address
    • Payment information — processed and stored by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.
    • Any name or contact information you voluntarily provide

    Information collected automatically

When you use the Service, we automatically collect limited technical information:

    • IP address and general geographic region (city/state level, not precise location)
    • Browser type and operating system
    • Pages visited and search queries entered on our site
    • Date and time of access

We use this information to operate and improve the Service. We do not use it to build behavioral profiles or target you with advertising.

    Information we do not collect

We do not collect the following:

    • Social Security numbers or government ID numbers
    • Health or medical information about you or any person you are researching placement for
    • Financial account information beyond what is necessary to process your payment
    • Information about the resident or family member whose care you are researching

The fact that you searched for a specific facility is logged for operational purposes. We do not associate that search with any individual resident or patient.

    3. How We Use What We Collect

We use the information we collect for the following purposes only:

    • To deliver reports and any other services you purchase
    • To process and confirm payments
    • To send you transactional emails — receipts, access confirmations, and data update alerts you have opted into
    • To respond to questions or support requests you initiate
    • To improve the accuracy, performance, and usability of the Service
    • To detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access

We do not use your information for advertising, behavioral targeting, or any purpose beyond operating and improving the Service.

    4. What We Do Not Do With Your Data

We want to be explicit about this, because it matters in this space:

    • We do not sell your personal information to any third party, ever.
    • We do not share your search history or report activity with any nursing facility, healthcare network, insurance company, or government agency.
    • We do not use your data to build advertising profiles.
    • We do not run ads on NursingHomeIQ. There are no advertisers to share data with.
    • We do not allow third-party trackers, retargeting pixels, or behavioral analytics tools on this site.

The facilities you research using our Service have no visibility into the fact that you searched for them.

    5. Cookies and Tracking

We use a minimal set of cookies strictly necessary to operate the Service:

    • Session cookies to keep you logged in during a visit
    • Preference cookies to remember display settings
    • A secure payment session cookie managed by Stripe

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies that report your behavior to outside parties. We use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages visited, search volume, general geography). This data is not linked to individual users.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may affect your ability to complete purchases or maintain a logged-in session.

    6. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of carefully selected third-party services to operate NursingHomeIQ. Each receives only the minimum information necessary to perform its function:

    Stripe (payment processing)

We use Stripe to process all payments. When you make a purchase, your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy (stripe.com/privacy). We receive a transaction confirmation and your email address. We never receive or store your full card number, CVV, or bank account details.

    Email delivery

We use a transactional email provider to deliver receipts and alert notifications. Your email address is shared with this provider for the sole purpose of delivering messages you have requested. We do not use this provider for marketing campaigns.

    Hosting and infrastructure

Our Service is hosted on cloud infrastructure. Server logs, which may include IP addresses and access records, are retained for a limited period for security and operational purposes.

    No advertising networks

We do not use Google Ads, Meta Pixel, or any other advertising network. No advertising partner receives any data about your activity on this site.

    7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service and meet our legal obligations:

    • Purchase records and associated email addresses are retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes
    • Server logs are retained for 90 days and then deleted
    • If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law

Aggregated, anonymized usage data from which no individual can be identified may be retained indefinitely for Service improvement purposes.

    8. Your Rights and Choices

    Access and correction

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct inaccurate information, by contacting us at info@nursinghomeiq.com.

    Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. We will honor deletion requests within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements described in Section 7.

    Opting out of emails

Transactional emails (receipts, access confirmations) are required to deliver the Service and cannot be opted out of while your account is active. Alert notification emails can be disabled in your account settings at any time.

    California residents

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we have collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information, so the opt-out right does not apply in a practical sense. To exercise your other rights, contact us at info@nursinghomeiq.com.

    Other US state privacy laws

Several other states have enacted consumer privacy laws with similar rights. If you are a resident of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or another state with applicable privacy legislation, you may exercise similar rights by contacting us. We will respond to all verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.

    9. Children's Privacy

NursingHomeIQ is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we may have collected information from a child, please contact us at info@nursinghomeiq.com.

    10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), limited employee access to personal data, and payment processing through PCI-compliant third parties.

No system is perfectly secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

    11. Links to Other Sites

Our reports reference public government data sources. We may provide links to CMS, state inspection databases, or other public resources for your reference. Once you leave NursingHomeIQ.com, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

    12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this document. If we make material changes to how we handle personal information, we will notify users by email (if we have your email address) or by posting a prominent notice on the Service prior to the change taking effect.

Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
