Quality Rating
Records show a facility with high clinical quality ratings but significant staffing instability, characterized by an 80% registered nurse turnover rate and a high reliance on outside contract labor.
The data indicates a facility with high performance in clinical quality measures but significant challenges in workforce stability and staffing continuity. While the facility maintains a high overall rating from federal regulators, the underlying staffing metrics show a total nursing staff turnover rate of 60% and a registered nurse turnover rate of 80%. These figures are substantially higher than the Georgia state averages. Furthermore, the facility relies on outside contract agencies for nearly 50% of its registered nurse hours, which may impact the consistency of care provided to residents.
Inspection records show a history of 30 uncorrected findings, with 60% of recent citations originating from resident or family complaints. These findings include issues related to assists with activities of daily living, respiratory care, and the maintenance of a safe, accident-free environment. On a positive note, the facility provides 4.23 total hours of nursing care per resident per day, which exceeds the Georgia average of 3.57 hours. However, the data reveals a drop in staffing levels during weekends, where total nursing hours decrease to 3.73 per resident day. Relative to similar facilities, this location has avoided federal financial penalties and fines over the most recent reporting cycles.
The facility reported a total nursing turnover rate of 60% and a registered nurse turnover rate of 80%, both of which exceed the Georgia state averages of 46.5% and 44.5% respectively.
Public records show that nearly half (49.6%) of all registered nurse hours are provided by outside contract agencies rather than permanent staff.
There is a 12% reduction in nursing care hours on weekends (3.73 hours) compared to weekday averages (4.23 hours).
This shows how the facility's federal ratings have changed over the past 24 months. Consistent high ratings suggest stable quality, while declining trends may warrant further investigation.

Staffing depth is the strongest predictor of care quality. Facilities routinely cut staff on evenings and weekends — the shifts when falls happen and call lights go unanswered.

"We had an overall good experience with my mom's care at Parkside. The unit clerk on the 4th floor, Tricia, was great! Our only major complaint with the facility is that they do have a lot of agency staff daily, so there is a disconnect in the continuity of care and we had to orient them daily on my mom's situation. I would recommend them, but you must be actively engaged in your loved ones care."
"Jamie Akram is a great worker and person. We are lucky to have her as our tech. I wish we had more people like her. She does whatever I ask of her no matter what it is. I get so excited when I see that she is my tech. She does an awesome job. In my opinion she is the best."
"The care and physical therapy our father received here was wonderful. Our father is not the most pleasant person to care for but all of the staff treated him with respect and professionalism and he progressed well. Big shout out to the wonderful care team on the 2nd floor and to physical therapists Peter and Everett. Highly recommend this center for rehabilitation and skilled nursing."
"Terrific therapists !!! Ramona PT and Sydney OT have been terrific —- my hand and feet are back to working. They are wonderful!! And Kia at the front desk is the sweetest most kind person. I look forward to seeing her beautiful smile everyday"
"I recently spent 4 weeks at Parkside Budd at Terrace. I looked forward to my Monday thru Friday trips to the rehab gym, where I received very knowledgeable and encouraging help from Kat and Sean. Another highlight of my Monday thru Friday routine was the social room on the 6th floor. Sue, who runs the social room, made every day special. Great sense of humor, great hot chocolate, fresh baked cookies, occasional grilled cheese sandwiches, and daily activities like bingo. I was well taken care of by the nurses and the caregivers of the 6th floor. Special thanks to the wound care nurse, and to Desiree, Angela, Mika, and Molly. They were kind, patient, and very helpful."
"Sharandan is very conscientious, kind and thorough. Always pleasant and bright. Rooms are always cleaned to perfection. Three others worthy of kudos are Tanisha, Bernadette and Danielle. Tanisha has been nothing but professional as an administrator. Not only has addressed my sister's and family's concerns, she has been proactive in walking us through next steps for our sister's care. Bernadette's outgoing personality and positive attitude is infectious. I feel she is a huge contributor to the patients getter better... physically and mentally. Danielle is the quintessential aid! She performs above the call of duty and definitely works hard. She is soft spoken but actions speak highly of how much she cares for the residents of this facility."
"During my time here everyone was great. From the nurses to the rehab department, they treated me so kindly. I want to give a special shout out to my therapists, Amaya and Zach for helping me get back on my feet and encouraging me to get stronger everyday. I will miss them."
"It was a wonderful experience here, the CNA’s were sweet and over the top. So many happy faces, I think they are pretty special. Ms. Shannon the CNA, Chiquita CNA works so hard I can feel her soul when she’s here, Marquavious the Nurse, Nurse Walker, Unit manger Shatoya knows how to take care of her floor, and Ms. key (the nurse on second floor. I have enjoyed the concierge team Ms. Anita, Rhea and Marquita. Mr. Charles has assisted me with coffee and drinks before and he does the floors. Mr. Robert in activities loves people, he is kind and fun. I taught him how to play gin rummy and he beat me because I taught him so well. I have nothing but pleasant things to say as I’ve experienced so much kindness here at Budd Terrace. I’ve gotten gifts and prizes, this place lucked up when they put concierge girls into the position they are in. Those girls are great. Love Ms. Trish A.K.A Mrs. Cocup."
"I would like to thank both of the ladies named Sam in therapy. They were really good. The nurses on 3 are great, nurse Calra is very nice. The 2 night nurses are very nice.... it's so many good CNA's as well I just can't remember everyone. I've enjoyed my stay and I'm happy to be going home."
"Thank u Jimmy for going above and beyond getting my loved one to a critical doctor’s appointment. You are always caring, professional and punctual. You got him out of a very tough spot. For this and for all you do day in and day out for the residents of Parkside at Bud Terrace THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!"
