    NursingHomeIQ Analysis

    Summary

Records indicate a facility with improving health inspection results but high nursing staff turnover and lower-than-average registered nurse staffing levels compared to state benchmarks.

    Detailed Analysis

The data for this facility presents a profile of improving inspection outcomes contrasted by significant staffing volatility. Recent records show the facility reduced its health inspection findings from 15 in late 2023 to just one in early 2025. This improvement resulted in an overall rating of 3 out of 5 stars, which is higher than the Georgia state average of 2.7. While health scores have improved, the staffing rating has declined to 2 out of 5 stars. Public records indicate that registered nurse care is 0.41 hours per resident per day, which is lower than the Georgia average of 0.49 hours.

Staffing stability remains a primary concern in the facility's data profile. The nursing staff turnover rate of 58.5% indicates that more than half of the nursing workforce left within a one-year period, a rate significantly higher than the state average of 46.5%. Furthermore, the administrative leadership saw one departure during the reporting period. Although the facility utilizes 0% contract or agency staff—ensuring that all care is provided by permanent employees—the high turnover and the 12.5% drop in nursing hours on weekends suggest challenges in maintaining consistent staffing levels. Quality measures for long-stay residents remain a relative strength at 4 out of 5 stars, exceeding both the state average and the average of other facilities within the same chain.

    Key Findings

The facility reported total nursing staff turnover of 58.5%, which is higher than the Georgia state average of 46.5%.

Recent inspection findings included a food safety citation for failing to procure or store food from approved sources in accordance with professional standards.

Total nursing care hours of 3.67 per resident per day drop to 3.21 hours on weekends, representing a 12.5% decrease in nursing presence during weekend shifts.

    Performance Trends (24 months)

This shows how the facility's federal ratings have changed over the past 24 months. Consistent high ratings suggest stable quality, while declining trends may warrant further investigation.

"My time at Cherry Blossom Nursing Home has been a meaningful chapter in my life. The staff, with a few exceptions, have been kind, helpful, and attentive. Most of them genuinely care and do their best every day. There were a couple moments where things didn’t go quite right, but overall, I’ve been treated with respect and compassion. One person who has truly stood out is the administrator. No matter how busy the day is, they always seem to have time for me. Whether it's just to talk, check in, or share a prayer, their presence has made a real difference in my journey. Thanks to the care and support I’ve received here, I’m now preparing to move on to an assisted living facility, a step I wouldn’t have been ready for without the foundation Cherry Blossom provided. I leave with gratitude in my heart."

"Living at Cherry Blossom Nursing Home has truly been a blessing in my life. From the moment I arrived, I felt not just welcomed, but loved. The people here aren’t just staff, they’re family. Every nurse, aide, and caretaker treats us with such kindness, respect, and patience. They don’t rush us, and they’re always ready with a smile, a gentle touch, or a listening ear. What really makes this place special, though, is the heart behind it all. The caregivers here are truly servants at heart, kind, gentle souls who go above and beyond every day. Whether it’s helping us get dressed, bringing us our meals with care, or just sitting with us and chatting for a while, they treat us like we matter, and that means the world."

"I can say this is the best skilled nursing facility my aunt was cared for at this facility before transitioning to her heavenly home and I was her caregiver they took good care of my aunt she also started off with rehab and they did an excellent job with her the facility was always clean and if they were short staffed you couldn't tell so I have been in the building in over 5 years and when the doctor advised my father and myself that he needed to go to rehab after the fall my father was against it and I was not so sure myself because the bad experience we had at Peak once before his first time ever having to be in a rehab facility my father had a bad experience and it wasn't as clean as I would have thought or expected it and they was very short staffed my father requested to leave before his therapy was completed and he got home and went back to being himself. Today I came to bring my father some of his belongings and spend time with him most of the people are still there in administration and they was very polite kind and my father said he appreciated being there and going to do what he need to do to return back to his apartment he did good today God the chief of my father medical team I'm so thankful for the staff helping him feel welcome my father has a bad side to him if he feels you mistreating him and I'm not so nice either if I see or hear someone mistreating him and I tell him you can't treat people bad either treat them kind like you want to be treated.Yes I give them a 5 star"

"This is a horrible facility! My grandmother was here and they did not take good care of her! They are still in business but my grandmother is gone. If you care about your loved ones please do not place them in this facillty. The nurses were mean and rude. Management did not care. Staff was overworked. Would be mean to the patients. THIS IS NOT A GOOD FACILITY!!!!!!! BAD PLACE!!!!! And i would never forgive them for what they did."

    Nasia Blanson7/29/2018

"This is a horrible facility. My grandmother was placed here and did not receive adequate care. The staff is unprofessional and over worked. When I visited my grandmother they were rude and made it very clear that they did not care. My grandma was everything to me— God rest her soul❤️ I would not recommend this facility to anyone. If you love your family member, please do not place them in this facility."
